A wednesday TOOT-er!!

Hey all you lovely weedsters out there...It's Petra here spreading some sunshine around here! I'm filling in for Kenna today and really hope I can do as good as she always does!! This really became her thing and she does an amazing job! So thanks luv for always finding those outstanding scrappers and layouts and you sure make these wednesdays one of my favs!

So here we go...today I picked a special gallery for a special reason...So without further a do, let me introduce to you Sara a*k*a tarty00, a lovely lady from Australia... While I'm writing this she is probably asleep, well she wasn't sure if she was able to sleep since I told her I had a little suprise for her. Well she told me I intrigued her and couldn't wait to see her suprise! :)

Well let me tell you why we want to surprise her... On Monday she told us that one of her layouts called: 'My Petals' will be published in the Aussie Scrapbooking Memories Magazine. Her page only uses Gina's fab new collection 'the happy garden' and well we just wanted to congratulate her with being published and give her a little sumthin', sumthin'.

So of course I'm going to highlight three of her pages from her beautiful gallery and second I would love to give her a 5$ GC to the weeds & wildflowers shoppe just for fun!

So let me show you her fab work...First of her: 'Patience Is A Virtue', I love the sweet photos and the selective coloring on the photos. Also really like how she attached the frames and those cute soft doodles add the perfect touch to this page!

Then we've got: 'Fun in the sun', Adore the composition and layering of the greens and flowers here. Also like how she used the ropes!!

And last but not least: 'I wish for you to...', the extraction on this page is outstanding and love how she used all the little word strips. Also like how she used the paper to make it look like grass and well it just all comes together wonderful!!

So here ends my post for today...I would like to thank Sara for letting me highlight some of her pages and I would love for you to have a closer looksy in her beautiful gallery and leave her some sweet lovin' ! :)

ooo Come Look N See - Best of the Bunch 5/21

Happy Wednesday my fellow Weedsters! It's the Best of the Bunch time again and I'm back to show off one of Heidi's Dandilions!!

Julie Marie !!! A paper scrapper since 2004, Julie turned digi in 2006. Her passion since high school (wasn't that just last week? LOL ) is photography and her skills in that area are so evident with every page she scraps! ... always keeping her photo(s) the focal point in her pages. Come on, I'll show you ...

"Take Time To Play" - could Julie's title be any more perfect for that adorable photo! And I just LUV how she uses only a few embellishments, keeping that photo center stage and still impacts the fun play of color in her page!

And I simply fell in love with her "2 Snowflakes" page! Dontcha just love Julie's choice of papers and elements! And that black and white photo is too dang cute!

 

Julie Marie's "The Wonder of Cars" is just precious. Her clean composition and simple clustering of elements draws your eye right where it belongs ... to that darling photo!

Spreading Flowers - Best of the Bunch 5/14

Happy Wednesday Weedsters....did you all enjoy the weather today? I did...it is sooo good to feel the heat of the sun, it really made my day!

Ducklings - I really love how she layered all elements and how the colors go so well with her lovely pictures...these girls are adorable!

 

Find Joy - look at the great colors she used here and how she did such a great clustering..really love to see so many elements used!

Welcome - last but not least this lovely layout, really luvv the great pictures and the wonderful journaling, great use of this kit!

She's a Dandy! Best of the Bunch 5/7

Happy Wednesday my fellow Weedsters! It's the Best of the Bunch time again!! Can you believe another week has zipped on by (I'm still trying to recover from interNSD!!) and what better way to get back to scrappin', than to share with you all one of Heidi's Dandilions and what a dandy she is!! Please give it up for ...

Niiki !!!! who hails from the Czech Republic, a relative newbie to digi (less than a year) and one amazing scrapper! Let me show you a wee sampling of some of her beautiful pages  ...

Niiki's "Sweet Girl" popped right out at me and simply screams spring ... so bright and cheery! LUV those sweet photos and that dainty little cluster of elements in the corner! SO pretty!

And wowZA, just take a peek at her "Sand" layout and Niiki's gorgeous blending! LUV love love her splash of bright color flowers with that distressed frame that makes for one incredible page! wowZA is right!! This is one of my favorites of Niiki's --- and that's not easy, as she has so many incredible pages!

"Beauty" left me ooohing and aahing! It's so pretty and soft with her touch of lace and those swirls and stitching! Notice Niiki's subtle extraction?? Her FAB  use of elements & that gorgeous photo simply makes this one come alive ... I LUV this one from her too!

My mind is just a whirling with ideas and feeling so inspired, I feel the need to scrap ... how about you?? Sweet Petal - Best of the Bunch Wednesdays 4/30

Happy Wednesday my fellow Weedsters! Here is Kenna (ratherBscrappin) back for another Best of the Bunch! And while I was happily perusing the WW Gallery, this sweet petal caught my eye ...

Wendy (Mamma Wendy) !!!

"Waiting For Spring Time" - LUV the sepia tone in Wendy's photos and how she showcased those stompin' muddy boots!! Too cute!

"Super Stars" - dontcha just LUV the bold colors, those cute doodle frames and stars that can't help but draw your eye right to those darling photos!

"Happy Birthday Nicky Nicole" - kay, I simply chuckled when I saw this photo! And how complimentary are those browns with that splash of orange and the curves and swirls ... such a cute card, LUV it!

Daisy Pickin Wednesday - Best of the Bunch 4/16

Happy Wednesday Weedsters!! It's time to rise and shine and there's no better way to start your day, then for me to be able to showoff one of Gina's Wild Daisy's ...

Leah a.k.a. immaculeah ... Leah was a paper scrapper for about 7 years before turning to digi in April of 2006 and her wonderfully crafted pages reflect a style that's all her own ... and I just LUV it!! Let me first start off with one of my favorites ...

"Slide" which Leah created for the WW template challenge. Her splash of red with those doodle circles and fun series of photos caught my eye right away and give such movement to this adorable page!

"Be What You Are" is simply stunning! I just LUV her choice of sunny yellow and clean lines that draws your eyes right where it belongs, onto Leah's sweet photo!

Okay, I know I said that "Slide" was one of my favorites, but I gotta confess ... Green Hat just knocks my socks off!!  Such a FAB photo of her gorgeous daughter and I loved how Leah frames it ... brackets inside of brackets!! Perfect composition dontcha think? And her use of green and elements are so spot on it compliments her theme perfectly!!

A Wednesday Wowzer - Best of the Bunch

Happy Wednesday Weedsters!! I'm back again with a Wednesday wowzer, and this week my little eye spied ...

droopette a.k.a. Frederique !!!

I was so inspired by her gallery, it literally jumped right out at me! And as they say, the proof is in the pudding --- so without any further adieu, let me wow you as Frederique did me!!

First up is her layout "Dream" and I simply fell in love with the colors, simple design (beautiful use of space) that sweet black & white photo and Frederique's subtle photo extraction within that angled frame ... very cool!!

And "Graine de Canaille" is this just the sweetest layout or what!! And look close --- she's done it again, a subtle extraction (LOVE IT!!) and her choice of soft colors, fame layering draws your eye right to that darling photo ... gorgeous page girl!!

And as I scrap boys, I couldn't resist her "Histoire de parrains" page. Scrapping guys can be challenging, and Frederique makes it look so effortlessly. I totally love her clean line design, word strip elements and a splash of rich bright colors in this one! Of course, having a FAB photo doesn't hurt either!! *smile*

A Gem of a Flower - Best of the Bunch 3/25

Happy Wednesday Weedsters!! Another week has flown by thanks to all the ONEderful party celebrations still going on
( be sure to check out The Shoppe and The Forums) that I almost forgot it's time for another gallery spotlight!

So, here I am back with a gem of a flower and let me tell you, this gal's gallery is simply bursting forth with incredible pages that picking just a few to highlight here doesn't do her justice!!

This week's gem is Petra (a.k.a. petruschka) she hails from the Czech Republic, has only been digi scrappin' since Feb. 2007 and while doing a guest spot as one of Gina's Wild Daisy's, was asked to stay on full time ... whoo hoo ... congrats girlfriend!! And now, as promised some of her amazing pages.

Petra's, all about me page ... "Me and My Family" - LUV how she used that frame to showcase her beautiful family and the bright color contrasts makes this one stand out.

And well, her "Summer 1976" is simply fun! I adore her whimsical theme with those soft sepia tones, her wonderful extraction work (dontcha just luv those wings) and ribbons to tie it all together! Priceless!

"Love" is wrapped in complete sweetness! Just look at that darling photo and once again, her color choices are so spot on!

Happy Wednesday Weedsters!! It's Kenna, back with the Best of the Bunch, and today it's with a twist. Tip Toe Thru The Gallery With Me 3/5

Happy Wednesday my fellow Weedsters! Here is Kenna (ratherBscrappin) back for another Best of the Bunch! With so many amazingly talented galleries out there, I can tell you that it's not an easy task picking just one and then ... bam! ... my eyes were drawn to Lindsay's (linds) beautifully designed pages and her FAB photography.

Cam's Sweet Scowl --- all one has to do is look at this darlin' photo and it's love at first sight! And I absolutely love how she framed it with that doodle border and splash of red!

And Funny Faces, Lindsay's take on Angie's template challenge left me smiling, wanting to see more of her delightful son.

So you know I was estactic when she did and showered us with her incredible "So In Love" layout --- dontcha just love the border, her choice of kit and color and again, those sweet photos!

And while Lindsay's gallery at WWD may be small, it is nonetheless jammed full of creativity! Thanks for sharing it with us sweets and I hope you continue to add to it so we can all 'ooh and aah' and be inspired!
