Traveling

Hi ladies! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another $10 Tuesday. As I write this I'm currently hanging out in West Virginia, but a few days ago I was in Virginia, then before that Alabama and prior to that Germany. Oklahoma will be the next location we'll be visiting here in the next week or so. So in the course of 2 months I'll have been at 5 different locations. Whew. I'm tired! :) I'm not naturally the type to really enjoy traveling. Living out of suitcases and learning to keep my 2 year old occupied during long airplane/car trips isn't exactly my definition of bliss BUT I do love seeing new things ONCE I've arrived. Love trying new foods, new shops, meeting new people. SO my question for you today revolves around traveling.

Where is your favorite place to visit?

It can be a far away destination like the Bahamas, Asia or Europe, or some place close to home like a local coffee shop or clothing boutique. For me I LOVE visiting home, as in where I grew up & where my family lives. Love going to my parents house and smelling & eating my mom's yummy cooking, love hearing the hum of my mom's sewing machine, love sleeping on the same super soft cool sheets I slept on as a kid, love hearing my Dad's laugh, love having deep belly laughs that I ONLY have with my precious family. So for me I LOVE visiting good ol' home. It's hands down my favorite place in the whole world!!

montreal, canada!!! my mother grew up there and i was born there, so whenever i visit i know i will be spending time with family and enjoying the difference of living in a city for a while (i live in suburban nj). plus i practically grew up there so every block has a special memory for me! it sounds really dorky, but it really is my 2nd home :)

I love to visit Pismo Beach, CA. The beach is very nice, not too far from home, and warm water in the summer.

It depends if I want to veg on a beach (Cape May, Captiva Island, Knokke), do culture things (Budapest, Paris, San Fran) or have that "hey it's good to be back home again" feeling (Brussels). But sometimes my bed is the best place to be!!!

Russia! that's home. I grew up there, my whole family is there, I live in Chicago and have been in US for almost 13 years, but as the years go by, it seems to get more difficult to be away, not easier. So the few and rare visits home are it for me. My old room, my mom's food, ice cream from a store nearby, the heavenly Russian bread.... everything about my hometown and home country is endearing. I miss it.

The Mountains! Definitly the mountains. The fresh cool air, the smell of trees, the sound of birds and wind rustling through the leaves, the beautiful scenery and at night, more stars then you can count...NO traffic, No work, No responsibilites! Just you, your family and the mountains!

I love NYC. There are so many fantastic things to see there. I especially love the museums!

Anywhere that has great spring weather and flowers. I love the spring and everything it entails. (I'm one of hte lucky ones that doesn't suffer from allergies.)However, if it isn't somewhere exotic, I really do prefer the beach. Hoewver, only the beach in the off-season when my fair skin won't burn quite as easily.

My favorite place to visit is the Smithsonian. I love going through their Natural History Museum especially when they have their special exhibits. The Insect Zoo was a favorite when Jeremiah was small. If we got there at the right time we could watch a tarantula feeding

I love to visit NEW places but so far my favorite new place has been off path costa rica!! pristine preserved beachs and beautiful scenery!!!

Routinely, though, my favorite place to BE is home with my family!!!

Actually I love to explore new places, meet new people and learn different cultures no matter where I go. I have camped in a tent, in an RV, stayed in hotels ranging from *to*****, B&B's, and even slept on the beach. I've traveled throughout the US, Mexico, and to Canada but my ultimate travel experience was to Ireland! The people, food, music, and gorgeous scenery was spectacular.

I like anywhere near an Ocean. The sound of the waves does more for me than a glass of wine, a good message, or a visit to the phychiatrist!

I love to visit the mosy beautiful place in the world ,the French Riviera ,I used to live there ,but I'm not anymore and I miss the Côte d'Azur so much !!!!

OH WOW This question is perfect!!! but i have two answers this first one at home my fav place to go is my bed!!!!!!!! LOL as you know sometiems with kids at home we cant sleep too much so i love to rest a little when i can, i mean almost never ;o)
And the place i 'd love to go back is the Florida! i personally love Disneyb parks so Orlando is perfect also because there we have so much friends and i cant wati to see them again!
Hope to go this year to the states!!!!!

I love Bermuda. It's so beautiful and the people are so friendly. I lived there for a year when I was a child, and it was wonderful. The pace of life is much slower. It's a real paradise.

When I was a little girl, every summer we would go visit our family who all lived around "Flathead Lake". It's the most awesome 23 mile long, 300 ft deep lake nestled in the Rocky Mountains in Montana. I can still remember the feelings I would have coming over the top the hill and getting the first glimpse of the lake. It became then and always will be my favorite place to visit. Lucky for me...I moved within 20 minutes of this awesome place!

My favorite place to visit is anywhere with great, warm, colorful scuba diving. Being under water seeing that other world is so peaceful and exciting at the same time for me. Saint Martin would be my first choice to return to. Janet

I love to visit Catalina Island. A ferry ride across the channel and land on the quaint little island. We haven't been there since the kids were born. Maybe this summer... Terrie San Diego,CA USA

There are so many wonderful places that my family and friends travel to together - but right now, I'd say my favorite location is the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Lots of wonderful memories of big rental houses shared with friends and family, unspoiled beaches, lovely sunsets, yummy dinners, and group games -- FUN!
