Simple Pleasures

Hello Weeds fans! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another exciting $10 Tuesday!!! I really do love hosting this great blog challenge each week and giving one of you lovely gals $10 to the Weeds Shoppe!!! WHOOOO HOOOO!  I guess you could call my love of this "job" a simple pleasure. Something that doesn't cost me anything (but thank you to Pat, Gina and Heidi who it does cost! LOL!), something that is easy and simple for me to do, yet brings me such joy. So that is exactly what today's question is all about.

"What is your simple pleasure?"

What's the little something in your life that brings you joy? For me other simple pleasures of mine are a big cup of ice water on a hot day. A brand new scrapbook kit to work with that I ADORE! A pair of thick warm socks on a cold day. A cup of good coffee and a cookbook (I love picking out new recipes!)

Right now my favorite simple pleasure is getting up early Saturday morning and enjoying the house while it's still quiet before DH and DD get up. I spend the time scrapbooking and surfing the internet.. and it's sooo peaceful.

My simple pleasure right now is to watch my dogs run like mad at the dog park. :) It's good for them, and it forces me to unwind after work!

I am a concierge in an apartment building, and my simple pleasure is to make the little children who live in the building laugh. There is nothing like the laughter of a child to make your heart feel happy and light. All the little ones call my name when they exit the elevator. I hear them say "Robin is funny".

My simple pleaseure right now is getting sleep in an increment of 5 hours straight - my dd is 13 months and only gets up 1 time a night to nurse now! yippee. Can't wait to sleep all night.

I also enjoy hot coffee, hot showers, and hot weather.....see a theme?

One of my simple pleasures is to stroll thru a garden or plant nursery (sans my dear children) & check out each plants' beauty & uniqueness.

Simple pleasures....a good cup of cappucchino along with a good book. Sitting out in the sun with a good book and iced tea. The giggles of my little ones playing. Learning how to scrap in the quiet after the kids have gone to bed. A good verse from the Bible to meditate on. Waking up each morning to a new day.

Reading my books while lying on the bed is one of the simple pleasure of mine. But the best is to MSN chat with my hubby which is miles away at work every night after I come back from a long day work. The last is to create a digital layout and just admired my work :D

For me simple pleasures is everything, quite peace time, something I don't get a lot of with 4 daughters, and an ill hubby, my time, scrapping time.
I'm a simple person though, don't have a lot, don't want a lot, just want to survive as best I can, so even the smallest thing, like a smile from one of my daughters, or a day that no one is sick, is the best simple pleasure to me

One of the simple little things I really enjoy is chatting with my Dad on the computer using Skype, while he lives in Australia and I live in Spain. So even though we are so far apart we are able to chat as much as we like so long as we are both online. Just another reason to love my computer!!

Great question! I love napping with the dog on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Breakfast out with friends. A big glass of sugar-free Walmart brand Crystal Light (trust me! Try the cherry flavor!) and a big batch of freshly baked cookies! Thanks for making me stop to think about the little things!

I have lots of simple pleasures, but my favorites are hugs from my daughter, spending time with good friends and family, having my cat cuddle with me, watching the fire in the fireplace, the smell of rain, beautiful blue skies with fluffy white clouds, the trees turning colors in the fall, all the flowers blooming and trees leafing out in the spring, and looking at family pictures.

- a hot tea with honey on a chilly, foggy morning
- falling asleep to the sound of rain

The last hasn't happened often lately, I've been getting up at 5:30am to drop my fiancé off at base *sighs*
