Hi ladies! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another $10 Tuesday. As I write this I'm currently hanging out in West Virginia, but a few days ago I was in Virginia, then before that Alabama and prior to that Germany. Oklahoma will be the next location we'll be visiting here in the next week or so. So in the course of 2 months I'll have been at 5 different locations. Whew. I'm tired! :) I'm not naturally the type to really enjoy traveling. Living out of suitcases and learning to keep my 2 year old occupied during long airplane/car trips isn't exactly my definition of bliss BUT I do love seeing new things ONCE I've arrived. Love trying new foods, new shops, meeting new people. SO my question for you today revolves around traveling.

Where is your favorite place to visit?

It can be a far away destination like the Bahamas, Asia or Europe, or some place close to home like a local coffee shop or clothing boutique. For me I LOVE visiting home, as in where I grew up & where my family lives. Love going to my parents house and smelling & eating my mom's yummy cooking, love hearing the hum of my mom's sewing machine, love sleeping on the same super soft cool sheets I slept on as a kid, love hearing my Dad's laugh, love having deep belly laughs that I ONLY have with my precious family. So for me I LOVE visiting good ol' home. It's hands down my favorite place in the whole world!!

Playing it Cool

Now that Summer months are nearly upon us it's starting to get pretty hot here where I am visiting (Alabama) and my two year old likes to spend ALLLL her waking hours on the Playground so I'm always looking for good tips on keeping cool. My daughters #1 rule for playing outdoors and keeping cool is

#1 Wear your sunglasses, they make you look cool AND as a bonus you look mysterious! LOL!

#2 Always asking Mommy for ice & ice cream! 

What are you tips for staying cool? Do you just stay indoors and enjoy air conditioning? Do you find a patch of shade and devour endless popscicles? Do you just wish for Winter to come so you can pull out your warm and fuzzy socks again??? :)

How Long?

Hello Weeds Fans! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another $10 Tuesday! As I sat down yesterday to create a layout I realized how much time I really do invest in my pages. The time does vary, but even though I've been digi scrapping for a year now, it still takes me a good block of time to put the finalized details on a page and feel it's complete. So I timed myself on my latest page. It took me 2 hours off and on throughout yesterday and I had to go to bed last night before it was complete. I'm thinking probably another hour today and the layout will be done. Is that the norm? 3 hours on a page just seems like a long time! I might just be a slow-poke though! I will re-arrange and move things around until they feel "just right". Plus scrapping for me is more than just a hobby or documenting my family memories, it's a great way for me to wind down, it helps calm me after a hectic day, it's therapeutic for me! So my question for this week is:

"On average how long does it take you to complete a digi-layout?"

Simple Pleasures

Hello Weeds fans! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another exciting $10 Tuesday!!! I really do love hosting this great blog challenge each week and giving one of you lovely gals $10 to the Weeds Shoppe!!! WHOOOO HOOOO!  I guess you could call my love of this "job" a simple pleasure. Something that doesn't cost me anything (but thank you to Pat, Gina and Heidi who it does cost! LOL!), something that is easy and simple for me to do, yet brings me such joy. So that is exactly what today's question is all about.

"What is your simple pleasure?"

What's the little something in your life that brings you joy? For me other simple pleasures of mine are a big cup of ice water on a hot day. A brand new scrapbook kit to work with that I ADORE! A pair of thick warm socks on a cold day. A cup of good coffee and a cookbook (I love picking out new recipes!)

COLOR!

What's your favorite color?

My favorite color changes occationally depending on the season, the current clothing styles, my mood, etc. But I still go back over and over to GREEN! For me it signifies new growth, nature, Spring and Summer! I was so lucky to find this amazing grass in my friend's yard and snapped this photo of my daughter and her friend enjoying swinging on a cool Spring day. LOVE the bright, beautiful green!!

What is your favourite day of the week???

I love the saturday's when we are all at home and can do things together but I think my favourite day is....

As my husband is a truckdriver he normally comes home on Friday after being away for the whole week. I always make sure on fridays my house is extra cleaned and that I have done all my groceries. It always makes me very happy to get him home after five days.

Singing & Scrapping!

Happy Tuesday Weedsters! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another $10 Tuesday!! Today's question is a fun one:

"What's your favorite song these days?"

My favorite song changes nearly everyday just depending on my mood, what's currently on the radio, what song I stumbled on while browsing iTunes. I just LOVE music and it really does help me scrap! I've recently discovered Sondre Lerche and I just LOVE his style! I keep finding myself listening to his music while scrapping, it's mellow and nice background music! So fill me in on your favorite music right now! I want to expand my music selection! For those of you that English is your second language know that I'm also interested in music in other languages!! (So don't think you have to pick English speaking songs!!). I live in Germany and actually love to hum along with German songs on the radio, I have no clue what they are about usually (they sing too fast for me to keep up!!), but there are several I've come to recognize and love!!

And in falling in with today's theme here is a picture I took of my talented little sissy who taught herself how to play the guitar. So admire her determination!

Happy April!

Happy $10 Tuesday everyone, Annie (laughterqueen) here again to wish you all a happy April Fools!! I'm not really sure where it all came from, the idea of playing tricks on people on April 1st and then suddenly yelling "APRIL FOOLS" and the joke being over...interesting. So here is my question for today, which is only fitting cause of today's date: "Have you ever played a joke on someone? Or has someone played a joke on you? If so tell about it!" Spring is on it's WAY!!

Happy Tuesday Weedsters! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another $10 Tuesday!! This is the last week left in March and I'm so excited that April is on it's way!!! It's been snowing and cold off and on here in Germany this past week or so and I'm ready for some warm Spring weather!! I just love going out on walks, taking my daughter to the park, getting a little sun and enjoying all the beautiful Spring flowers. So my question for you this week is:

$10+ Tuesday!!

Hello Weedsters!! Annie (laughterqueen) bringing you another  $10 Tuesday! This isn't just ANY Tuesday though, this is the beginning of the exciting festivities here at Weeds and Wildflowers!  We are celebrating their ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY of making beautiful designs for us!! 

So the question for today has to do with the number ONE.

What ONE year anniversaries will you be celebrating this year?

I'm looking for not only the traditional anniversaries most people think of like wedding anniversaries or birthdays, but also the more "un-celebrated" events such as the one year mark of becoming a parent, having your last child move out of the house or a changing career. I'm also looking for the more creative and obscure like the one year mark of using a new laundry detergent, discovering you like a new food or finding the perfect new  moisturizer. There are LOTS of personal celebrations we can do in our own lives that transcend what most people consider anniversaries. So think about what your one year anniversary is...and if you can't think of one just list what one are striving to meet next year.

My one year anniversary coming up tomorrow is my one year mark of living in Germany. It's been a challenge at times to up and move to another country, but it's also had a lot of really beautiful moments. Here is one of my favorite photos that shows what I love most about Germany (the scenery!) 

This photo is also highlighted in a layout featuring Heidi's kit Discovering You in the current April/May issue of Digital Scrapbooking Magazine! Whooo Hoooo!
