She's a Dandy! Best of the Bunch 5/7

Happy Wednesday my fellow Weedsters! It's the Best of the Bunch time again!! Can you believe another week has zipped on by (I'm still trying to recover from interNSD!!) and what better way to get back to scrappin', than to share with you all one of Heidi's Dandilions and what a dandy she is!! Please give it up for ...

Niiki !!!! who hails from the Czech Republic, a relative newbie to digi (less than a year) and one amazing scrapper! Let me show you a wee sampling of some of her beautiful pages  ...

Niiki's "Sweet Girl" popped right out at me and simply screams spring ... so bright and cheery! LUV those sweet photos and that dainty little cluster of elements in the corner! SO pretty!

And wowZA, just take a peek at her "Sand" layout and Niiki's gorgeous blending! LUV love love her splash of bright color flowers with that distressed frame that makes for one incredible page! wowZA is right!! This is one of my favorites of Niiki's --- and that's not easy, as she has so many incredible pages!

"Beauty" left me ooohing and aahing! It's so pretty and soft with her touch of lace and those swirls and stitching! Notice Niiki's subtle extraction?? Her FAB  use of elements & that gorgeous photo simply makes this one come alive ... I LUV this one from her too!

My mind is just a whirling with ideas and feeling so inspired, I feel the need to scrap ... how about you?? How Long?

Hello Weeds Fans! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another $10 Tuesday! As I sat down yesterday to create a layout I realized how much time I really do invest in my pages. The time does vary, but even though I've been digi scrapping for a year now, it still takes me a good block of time to put the finalized details on a page and feel it's complete. So I timed myself on my latest page. It took me 2 hours off and on throughout yesterday and I had to go to bed last night before it was complete. I'm thinking probably another hour today and the layout will be done. Is that the norm? 3 hours on a page just seems like a long time! I might just be a slow-poke though! I will re-arrange and move things around until they feel "just right". Plus scrapping for me is more than just a hobby or documenting my family memories, it's a great way for me to wind down, it helps calm me after a hectic day, it's therapeutic for me! So my question for this week is:

"On average how long does it take you to complete a digi-layout?"

Simple Pleasures

Hello Weeds fans! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you another exciting $10 Tuesday!!! What's the little something in your life that brings you joy? For me other simple pleasures of mine are a big cup of ice water on a hot day. A brand new scrapbook kit to work with that I ADORE! A pair of thick warm socks on a cold day. A cup of good coffee and a cookbook (I love picking out new recipes!)

Gina's amazing, stunning, beautiful and definitely my favorite kit she's ever created is done...well, love all her goodies, but this one kept me drooling for like two weeks! So ladies, let this be a BIG warning for you!!! Heidi also did something fabulous with one of her older kits and totally revised it!!

'The happy garden', alpha and wordstrips. This pack includes: One Lower case alpha, numbers and some punctuation, 5 blank letter squares, 26 wordstrips with various words & phrases, 6 blank wordstrips.

'The happy garden', paper pack 1. This beautiful paper pack includes: 14 beautifully textured 12 x12 papers (I included a light and dark version of 2 of those papers, making 16 total)

'The happy garden', elements. This includes 92 elements in all!!!  Let me name a few cute goodies in here: flourish stamps, swirls, clouds, daisies, ferns, heart, paper flowers, strings, glitter smears, lace, ribbons and sooo much more!!

'The happy garden',frames. This pack has 15 frame styles in a variety of materials including acrylic, twigs, burlap, doodles, stickers and wrinkled paper for a total of 41 frames! Doodly frames, acrylic, canvas, wrinkyl paper frames & more!

My favorite color changes occationally depending on the season, the current clothing styles, my mood, etc. But I still go back over and over to GREEN! For me it signifies new growth, nature, Spring and Summer! I was so lucky to find this amazing grass in my friend's yard and snapped this photo of my daughter and her friend enjoying swinging on a cool Spring day. LOVE the bright, beautiful green!!

woohoo time for a scraplift!!

So my lovely weedsters are you with me?? This week it's my turn and following our monthly schedule it's scraplifting time!! So who wants a chance to win that 5$ GC???

I got inspired by this page by Katka (dypecek), as soon as I layed my eyes on it. Love the sweet photos, the clustering around the top photo and how she blended the bottom photo. Uhm yes you hear that right? blendings... This time around I thought it would be fun to set the bar a little higher and I just know you ladies can do this!!

Daisy Pickin Wednesday - Best of the Bunch 4/16

Happy Wednesday Weedsters!! It's time to rise and shine and there's no better way to start your day, then for me to be able to showoff one of Gina's Wild Daisy's ...

Leah a.k.a. immaculeah ... Leah was a paper scrapper for about 7 years before turning to digi in April of 2006 and her wonderfully crafted pages reflect a style that's all her own ... and I just LUV it!! Let me first start off with one of my favorites ...

"Slide" which Leah created for the WW template challenge. Her splash of red with those doodle circles and fun series of photos caught my eye right away and give such movement to this adorable page!

"Be What You Are" is simply stunning! I just LUV her choice of sunny yellow and clean lines that draws your eyes right where it belongs, onto Leah's sweet photo!

Okay, I know I said that "Slide" was one of my favorites, but I gotta confess ... Green Hat just knocks my socks off!!  Such a FAB photo of her gorgeous daughter and I loved how Leah frames it ... brackets inside of brackets!! Perfect composition dontcha think? And her use of green and elements are so spot on it compliments her theme perfectly!!

What is your favourite day of the week???

I love the saturday's when we are all at home and can do things together but I think my favourite day is....

As my husband is a truckdriver he normally comes home on Friday after being away for the whole week. I always make sure on fridays my house is extra cleaned and that I have done all my groceries. It always makes me very happy to get him home after five days.

So...post your favourite day of the week and why it is and maybe you will win the $10 GC! I will announce the winner tomorrow!

Freebie Challenge

Spring For Color!

Hello Weedsters! Annie (laughterqueen) here bringing you a little photo tip. When I initially signed up to write today's post I was so excited to get my camera out in the warm and sunny weather and take lots of your typical Spring type photos - photos that include lots of bright, fun colors....but alas...the last week or so had been gray and gloomy here in Germany and as I write this my yard is covered in snow. But that's OKAY!!! Cause I'm not the only one experiencing snow during these early Spring months, but that doesn't mean you can't still capture lots of color and fun "Spring-like feelings" in your photography!!!

Typically Spring offers nearly endless beautiful backdrop opportunities for photos. The green grass alone will help give your photos an extra punch, not to mention the flowers, warm weather activities, etc. Here are just a few things to try and incorporate into your photos to help give them extra color, no matter if it's 70 degrees or -7 degrees!
